HONDURAN NATIONAL TEAM
Figueroa made his national team debut in 2003 and has been one of the most reliable players in the national team pool since. He appeared in all three games for Honduras in the 2010 World Cup. Due to the presence of Emilio Izaguirre he has mostly played out of position at centerback in recent years for Los Catrachos.
From 1999 to 2008 Figueroa played in his home country for Victoria and Olimpia, winning multiple titles. In 2008 he moved to Wigan Athletic and stayed with the club until they were relegated after the 2012-13 season. He signed with Hull City and has been a consistent presence at left back for the club in 2013-14.
