Career Summary

Chivas USA signed defender Fejiro Okiomah during the off-season after the Texas native spent the previous season with USL PRO side the Charlotte Eagles. Okiomah signed with the Eagles in March of 2013 after splitting time the previous four years playing at High Point University and with the PDL’s Carolina Dynamo. Starting in 25 of his 26 games played at center back, Okiomah anchored the Eagles’ back line that helped lead the club to the USL PRO championship against Major League Soccer’s newest expansion team, Orlando City Lions FC.

As a member of the Dynamo, the defender led his squad to three playoff appearances. With 42 games under his belt and four goals, Okiomah and the Dynamo reached the PDL championship against Canadian side Forest City London in 2012 before moving on to play for the Eagles.

Okiomah finished his collegiate career in 2012 by starting in all 20 matches at center back for the Panthers during his senior year. The 6-foot-2 Texan was part of a defense that averaged less than a goal against per game and recorded nine shutouts. His stellar performance earned the defender First Team All-Big South honors and a spot on the NSCAA All-South Atlantic Region team.
