Netted a hat trick in NCAA Tournament against Niagara (11/15) and named to College Soccer News National Team of the Week (11/18). Led team in assists (5) and points (13), and was tied for team lead in goals (4). Took 65 shots to lead the team and finished second in the Big Ten with 3.25 shots per game. Named Team Offensive MVP. 2010: Appeared in 21 matches as a freshman, starting 12. Recorded five assists with one goal. Scored first career collegiate goal – the game-winner – in a 3-2 overtime win over No. 3 Maryland to send Michigan to the 2010 College Cup. Named to TopDrawerSoccer.com's National Team of the Week for his performance against Maryland. Recorded his first multi-point game with two assists in 3-2 win over Wisconsin (10/10). Recorded his first career point with an assist against Marquette (9/19). Made his collegiate debut against Detroit (9/1), and made his first career start against No. 14 Drake (9/3). Attended South Kent School in Connecticut and was a two-time all-state selection and All-Star. Helped lead Kent to back-to-back New England Championships in 2008 and 2009. Played for F.S.A. Soccer Plus and Beachside Soccer (Conn.). Also played for Detroit City FC in the NPSL in the summer of 2013, scoring two goals and one assist in five matches.
Full name is Fabio Veras Villas Boas Pereira. Uncle played professionally in Brazil. Born in Sao Paulo and moved to United States in high school to pursue soccer career while staying in school. Enrolled in the College of Literature, Science and the Arts, at Michigan.
