2011: Announced his retirement on April 18 and joined the Impact Academy coaching staff… Made his return on the field on June 21… Scored six goals and added one assist, finishing second on the team in points, in 13 games, including seven as starter… Concluded his career in second place all-time in North American second division scoring with a total of 104 goals and 31 assists for 239 points in 270 games.
2010: Finished the season third on the Impact with five goals and two assists for 12 points, in 25 games, including 14 starts… Also scored a goal during the playoffs, against Austin.
2009: In his first game since his return to Montreal, scored the two Impact goals in a 2-0 win against Mexican Club Santos Laguna, on February 25, in the first game of the CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinal played at Olympic Stadium… Also scored in the away game of that series, March 5, in Torreon, Mexico… Finished second on the team during the regular season for points, with four goals and two assists for 10 points in 28 games, including 19 starts… Reached 100 career games played on July 25 in Austin…In five playoff games, tallied two goals and one assist for five points… Scored his first goal during the decisive match of the semifinals, against Puerto Rico, on October 4… Then registered his first career goal in a championship final during the first leg of the final against Vancouver, on October 10… Won his fifth career playoff championship, his second with the Impact.
2008: Helped the team win another championship title in his fourth season with Vancouver… In the playoffs, scored the series-winning goal against the Impact in the semifinals, on October 5, in Vancouver… Finished third in the league with 27 points, including 12 goals… Signed a two-year deal with Montreal on Nov. 12, 2008…
2007: Despite missing 12 games during the regular season with a foot injury, finished the season as the Whitecaps’ top goal-scorer with seven goals... Played 60 minutes in the 0-0 draw with the Los Angeles Galaxy, of MLS on Nov. 7.
2006: Traded from the Impact to Vancouver for Daniel Antoniuk… After recovering from a foot injury, played a crucial role in the Whitecaps playoff run to the USL-1 championship title… Scored against the Impact in extra time of the semifinal series, in the second leg, on September 24.
2005: Suffered a series of injuries including a right-foot fracture, which limited his playing time.
2004: After signing a new three-year contract with Montreal, helped the Impact win the playoff championship in 2004… Led the Impact in scoring for the second time in three seasons, registering 19 points… Was the club’s top scorer in the playoffs with two goals and one assist for a total of five points.
2003: Appeared in the first 20 games of Montreal's season before an anterior ligament tear in his right knee ended his campaign on July 23… Finished third on the team with 15 points.
2002: Signed with the Montreal Impact, scoring 18 goals, including six game winners, in 28 games… Received the Giuseppe-Saputo Trophy, awarded to the Impact’s MVP and was a USL First Division All-Star.
2001: Scored eight goals in 16 games with the Hershey Wildcats.
2000: Helped the Rochester Raging Rhinos win the A-League championship title, scoring six goals in 24 games.
1999: Made his USL debut with the Vancouver 86ers, in North American second division, registering 18 goals and 10 assists to finish second in league scoring.
Played 24 games with the Cuban national team and scored 16 goals before obtaining Canadian citizenship... Named the 1997 Cuban Player of the Year... Contributed to Cuba’s qualifying campaign for the 1998 World Cup in France and the 1998 CONCACAF Gold Cup tournament.
