2013: Made one appearance, a start, as a rookie. Started at left midfield, marking his MLS debut, at Chicago (March 9) and played 53 minutes. Was unavailable for four games (April 27 vs. Philly through May 11 vs. New York) with a left adductor strain. Missed two matches (June 2 vs. LA and June 8 vs. D.C.) with a left hamstring strain suffered in the team’s third-round U.S. Open Cup match. Started and played 52 minutes against Rochester (May 28) in the third round of the U.S. Open Cup before leaving the game injured.
