Deris Umanzor

Deris Umanzor comes to the Fire after spending five seasons with CD Águila, where he was recognized as one of the top left backs in the country. He played for the El Salvador men’s national team, recording 33 appearances and one goal since 2000. Umanzor was a regular starter during current Fire head coach Carlos de los Cobos’ tenure with the Salvadoran national team from 2007 to 2009.

A native of Santa Rosa de Lima, El Salvador, Umanzor started his career in 1998 with Municipal Limeño at the age of 18 and spent six seasons with the Salvadoran club before being transferred to CD Águila.
