Metzger is a talented central midfielder who joins the Red Bulls after spending the past two seasons with New York Red Bulls II in USL. He is a product of the Red Bulls academy and should provide depth behind Felipe in 2017.

COLLEGE: Metzger played four years of college soccer at Maryland, earning All-Big Ten First Team honors. Metzger appeared in 88 career matches, tallying eight goals and four assists.

OUTSIDE MLS: Metzger totaled 40 appearances, three goals and three assists in two seasons with Red Bulls II. He also appeared in six USL Playoff games, and helped NYRB II to the 2016 Regular Season Championship, Eastern Conference Championship and USL Cup.
