Keylor Navas has been the Ticos' No. 1 goalkeeper for over five years and will be Costa Rica’s starter for the World Cup. Navas was named the best goalkeeper in the 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup after leading his team to the semifinals.

Navas earned his first cap in 2008 and has made over 50 appearances for the Ticos heading into the Brazil World Cup. He started eight of the 10 matches for his country in the final qualifying phase of the CONCACAF Hexagonal.
A product of Saprissa’s youth academy, Navas made 60 appearances for the club before moving to Spain in 2010. After a spell at Albacete in the Segunda Division, Navas has become Levante’s starting goalkeeper in La Liga.
