The Revolution's first-ever number one pick in the MLS SuperDraft. A strong broad shouldered defender, elite leaping ability, and lighting quick first step as well. The permanent starter at right back his first year Farrell was quick to push into the attack. Since his rookie year Farrell has taken over as the full time center back showing his poise.  

College: Three year player at Louisville University named 2012 NSCAA first-team All-America honoree and BIG EAST defensive player of the year as a junior… also a finalist for the MAC Hermann Trophy as college’s player of the year. helped the Cardinals advance to the NCAA Tournament in each of his three seasons, including its 2010 NCAA Championship match appearance.

Personal: Son of missionaries, he spent 10 years (ages 5-14) growing up in Peru while his parents worked there.
