2008: Signed on Feb. 12 from partner-club Atletico Paranaense…Led the team with eight assists in his first season in Major League Soccer…Was nominated for MLS Newcomer of the Year…Finished the season tied for third in MLS with four game-winning assists along with Houston's Brad Davis…Made his MLS debut in the season-opening 1-1 tie vs. Chivas USA, playing the full 90 minutes. ..Recorded his first career assist in MLS at HOU on 4/6, springing Cooper for his first goal of the season with a ball played from midfield…Scored his first career MLS goal at KC on Aug. 23, a right-footed strike from 40 yards…Registered his first career multi-assist game on 9/21 at Chicago when he helped set up two goals…Scored the game-tying goal at DC on Sept. 14 in the 79th minute…Two weeks later, scored the team's only direct free kick goal this season, also against DC United, in the 9th minute. ..Played the attacking and holding midfield positions, as well as on the right side of the midfield.

2002-2004: Began his professional career as a right back with Aguas de Lindoia Esporte Clube, a fourth division Sao Paulo-based club…in 2004, After a short stint with Portuguesa Santista, he was purchased by Palmeiras of the top division, where he played one season.
