HOW ACQUIRED: Via loan from Portmore United FC (Jamaica) on June 28, 2013.
In the sense that true raiding fullbacks are a rare find, the young Alvas Powell deserves his place among the league’s best and most consistent right backs comfortable setting up shop on the other side of half field. Capable of playing in a number of ways, Powell has been key for the Timbers since joining MLS in 2013, serving as a vital first choice fullback and lending a sense of stability to back line that served as the backbone for a 2015 MLS Cup title run.
