Álvaro González is a central midfielder who has registered almost 50 caps for the Uruguayan national team since making his debut in 2006. He has been a regular starter for Lazio since 2011, though in recent times he has been loaned out.

URUGUAYAN NATIONAL TEAM

Gonzalez made his international debut with Uruguay in 2006. He appeared in the last two World Cups. 

CLUB CAREER

After playing for Defensor Sporting, Boca Juniors, and Nacional, Gonzalez moved to Lazio in 2010. He has appeared in over 100 Serie A games and is currently on loan in Liga MX with Atlas.
