Yacine Brahimi is an attacking midfielder who makes it clear that French great Zinedine Zidane is the inspiration for his style of play. Fast and explosive, he will take on players on the flanks and enjoys cutting to the middle to get into the box.
He was another highly-touted young player for France at different junior levels but he opted for Algeria, his parents’ native country.

Not so long so, Brahimi donned the France’s Under-21 jersey. He initially refused to be selected by Algeria during the 2010 pre-World Cup camp and wait for France to select him.
But in 2013, he decided to make the switch to Algeria and had his first cap in a 3-1 win over Benin in 2014 World Cup qualifying.
In 2009, his senior career began with French club Rennes, where he failed to break through. After a loan to Clermont Foot, he packed his bags to sunny Spain to join Granada. Since 2012, Brahimi has been a regular starter for the Spanish club with over 50 games played.
