Horwath was signed by the Red Bulls this season to provide backup depth at the goalkeeper position.
2010: Was signed to Major League Soccer as a League-wide Reserve Pool Goalkeeper. Trailed with Kansas City before the league signed him. Joined the San Jose Earthquakes in August, and Seattle Sounders FC in October. Did not make any league appearances.
Played in youth squad of D.C. United from 2001-03 before heading to college. In 2007, transferred from University of Connecticut to University of Wisconsin, where he played for three years. Made 52 appearances with Wisconsin Badgers. During collegiate career, played on the club level with the Northern Virginia Royals in 2008 and the Kansas City Brass in 2009.
Played for the United States Under-17 and Under-19 National Teams.
