Career Summary

Retired following the 2018 season.

Gordon is a classic target forward – he is strong in the air, can hold the ball up and play with his back to goal, and has a remarkably good touch for a big man. Now mostly a go-to bench player, he is also known for his propensity for clutch late goals, which he became known for in the San Jose Earthquakes' 2012 Supporters' Shield run and carried back with him to the Galaxy.

INTERNATIONAL: Gordon earned his first cap for the US national team on October 12, 2012, coming on as a substitute in a 2014 World Cup qualifier at Antigua & Barbuba and assisting on the game-winning goal. He earned his only other cap to date in the 2015 Gold Cup, in the USA's semifinal loss to Jamaica.

OUTSIDE MLS: Gordon started his pro career in the lower divisions with the Portland Timbers, and also spent time on loan with the then-A-League side in 2006.

COLLEGE: Gordon played his first two years at the junior college level wit Yavapai College before transferring to Oregon State, where he scored 26 goals and was twice named All-Pac 10 in his final two years.

NOTES: 53rd overall pick in 2004 SuperDraft. Two-time MLS Cup winner (2005, 2014).
