2012: Set personal bests in MLS with 31 games played and starts, as well as 2,767 minutes of play… Began the season with the Portland Timbers, recording five wins and three shutouts in 22 starts and 1,957 minutes… Earned his 50th career win on April 21, against Kansas City... Streak of 3,307 straight minutes in goal ended on April 28 against the Impact in Montreal following an injury… Set a new club-record streak of 377 minutes without allowing a goal on May 20, against Chicago… Wore the captain's armband for the first time with the Timbers against FC Dallas on July 21... Won the MLS Save of the Week in week 12 against Vancouver… Was acquired by the Impact from the Timbers on August 7 in return of goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts… Recorded three wins and four shutouts in nine starts with the Impact… Won the MLS Save of the Week in week 23 in New England… Also started the international match against Bologna F.C, during the post-season tour in Italy.
2011: Started 29 consecutive games with the Portland Timbers, including an MLS career-high nine shutouts, which was tied for third-best in the league ... Won MLSSoccer.com Save of the Week honours in Week 10, 17, 18 and 28… Missed the first five games of the season with a right knee injury... Named by fans as the Timbers’ Supporters Player of the Year.
2010: Re-acquired by D.C. United on January 13, after trading midfielder Fred and allocation money to Philadelphia Union for the top spot in the player allocation order... Took over the starting job in the second half of the season... Started 22 games, registering five shutouts and a 1.68 goals-against average…. Acquired by the Portland Timbers on December 17 in exchange for goalkeeper Steve Cronin and allocation money.
2009: Started 27 games in the Tippeligaen and two UEFA Cup qualification games in his second season with Vålerenga.
2008: Made the switch to Europe with Norwegian first-division side Vålerenga IF… Helped the club win its first Norwegian Cup title in six years and a place in the UEFA Cup qualifications.
2007: Helped D.C. United win its fourth Supporters Cup… Led MLS in wins for a second straight season, posting a record of 16-6-7 ... His 1.10 goals-against average, 117 saves, 2,610 minutes played and eight shutouts were all among the top five in the league... Named MLS Player of the Month in August, after compiling a 5-0 record and 0.20 GAA… Started two MLS Playoff games and four North American SuperLiga games.
2006: Named MLS Goalkeeper of the Year, establishing himself as one of the top goalkeepers in MLS... Started 30 games and tied for second-most with 2,700 minutes on the pitch... Led all MLS keepers with 15 wins and was among league leaders with a 1.13 goals-against average and eight shutouts... Owned three of the season’s longest shutout streaks, holding opposing teams scoreless for 338, 247 and 243 minutes during the year... Named the MLS Player of the Week for week 13… Selected to his first MLS All-Star team and helped keep a clean sheet against Chelsea F.C… Started three MLS Playoff games.
2005: Made two starts in his second season with United, finishing with a 1-1 record and a 1.00 goals-against average... Led the D.C. United reserve team to the MLS Reserve League championship by posting a 1.50 goals-against average and 8-3 record.
2004: Joined D.C. United as an undrafted rookie ... Was originally signed to a developmental contract before earning a spot on the senior roster later in the year... Backstopped D.C. United to their first road win of the year with a clean sheet in only his second match of the season, a 1-0 win over New England on May 29 ... Finished the campaign with three shutouts and a 1.63 goals-against average in 16 MLS appearances.
Played six games with the U.S. National Team, helping the team reach the finals of the 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup… Made his international debut on January 29, 2009, in a 3-2 win against Sweden at the Home Depot Center.
Played 22 games in two seasons with the Cape Cod Crusaders in the USL Premier Development League, helping the team win consecutive national championships.
Completed his college career at the University of Evansville in 2003 after transferring from the University of South Florida before his senior season... Played every minute of every match in his lone season for the Purple Aces, allowed only 21 goals in 19 matches while compiling a 1.09 goals-against average.
