Porfirio López

2011: Acquired by Philadelphia Union on December 22… Lopez played the 2011 season with Costa Rican side LD Alajuelense. He appeared in 22 matches and scored one goal for the club … Played primarily as a left back, helping his club to back-to-back titles in the Summer and Winter Championships in Costa Rica… Scored a goal in the 62nd minute of the team’s 4-0 victory of Cartagines on Sept. 7, 2011.

2010: Played the 2010/11 season with China’s First Division club Dalian Shide F.C. and was featured in  10 matches notching two goals.

2009: Transferred to Puntarenas FC of the Primera División in Costa Rica, where he appeared in 31 games registering one goal… At the end of 2009 López moved to Chinese club Dalian Shide.

2005-2008: Began his career in the Primera División in Costa Rica playing for Santos de Guápiles FC, playing in 42 matches total.

INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE: López made his first appearance for the Costa Rican national team on Aug. 10, 2011 in a friendly against Ecuador, starting in a 2-0 loss and registering 73 minutes …
