HOW ACQUIRED: Selected by the Galaxy in the second round (38th overall) of the 2012 MLS SuperDraft.

Powerful and composed in central midfield, Walker joined the Galaxy after a successful college career at Louisville.

MLS Highlights

2014: Enjoyed his best year professionally, earning four starts in eight appearances as he emerged as an option in the central midfield in the 4-4-2 formation. In matches he appeared in, the Galaxy went 5-2-1. He went the full 90 minutes twice during the season.

2013: Walker did not record any minutes during the 2013 season.

2012: Walker made his MLS debut on the road against Houston when he was in the starting XI. He was replaced at halftime by Michael Stephens.

College Highlights

2011: Set career-highs with 23 games played and started, as well as five goals to go along with six assists to earn second team All-BIG EAST honors. He tallied assists in three of the first four games of the season before scoring his first goal of the year on 9/21 at Ohio State. That goal was the only one of the game as Louisville won 1-0. Walker then registered the first multi-goal game of his career, scoring twice in a 3-2 win at Indiana, including the game-winner in overtime. He later added goals against Cincinnati and Bradley, with that goal coming in the NCAA Tournament. Louisville were 9-1-0 when Walker had a goal or an assist, including a 2-0-0 mark in the NCAA Tournament when he had a goal and an assist.

2010: Appeared in 21 games while making 19 starts as he earned third team All-BIG EAST honors. He set a career-high with seven assists, which were tied for the most on the team. He had his first multi-assist game in a 5-0 win over Appalachian State, setting up a pair of goals, while also scoring against BIG EAST rivals Providence and South Florida. However, he was forced to miss the first t games of the NCAA Tournament because of an injury that he picked up at the BIG EAST tournament, limiting his production during the run to the College Cup Final.

2009: Returned from injury to score twice and add five assists while starting all 18 games that he played in. Used in midfield and defense, he had two goals and three assists in a five-game span from 9/27-10/14, scoring in a 6-0 win over DePaul and in a 4-0 win over Syracuse. Louisville were 5-0-1 when he had a goal or an assist, outscoring opponents 20-3 in those contests. A BIG EAST All- Tournament Team selection, Walker’s five assists were second on the team while he also helped the team set a school record with 13 assists.

2008: Redshirted after breaking two bones in his left foot ahead of the start of the season.

2007: Started 20 of the 22 games that he appeared in as a freshman, tallying an assist in a 4-2 win over Kentucky. That was his first career assist and came in his third collegiate game. Walker was one of two freshman to play in all 22 of the Cardinals games that year.
