Career Summary

After playing four years of college soccer at the University of Connecticut, Nerwinski was selected seventh overall in the 2017 MLS SuperDraft by Vancouver Whitecaps FC. Nerwinski made his professional debut on February 22, 2017, in a 1-1 draw against New York Red Bulls.  

In six seasons with the Whitecaps, the Lawrenceville, New Jersey native accrued 161 appearances across all competitions: 142 matches in MLS regular season, 11 in the Canadian Championship, four in MLS Cup Playoffs, two in Concacaf Champions League and two in the USL Championship. 

In 2022, Nerwinski help anchor Vancouver’s backline to six clean sheets in the MLS regular-season and helped the Whitecaps capture the 2022 Canadian Championship to secure a spot in the 2023 Concacaf Champions League. He started in 23 of the 27 matches he appeared in across all competitions during the 2022 season.
