Toia, 22, finished third overall in minutes played for Chivas USA with 2,240, playing a total of 27 games, including 24 starts, in his first season in MLS. He also started one game in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup tournament.
Native of Tucson, Arizona, Toia became the first ever Homegrown player to be signed to a professional contract by Real Salt Lake, on March 15, 2011.
He then played for FC Tucson (PDL), in 2012 and with Phoenix FC, in USL Pro, in 2013, before joining Chivas USA in January 2014.
At the international level, Toia represented the U.S. with the U18 and U20 teams.
