2012: Appeared in 23 games during his rookie season, after juggling his academics at Duke during the first few months of the season. Started seven games and scored four goals as a forward for the Impact. Scored his first professional goal on 4/7/12 in a 2-1 win over rivals Toronto FC. The Impact won three of the four gmaes in which Wenger scored, as the versatile player added vital goals when used up front.
2011: Won the 2011 Missouri Athletic Club's Hermann Trophy, presented to the best male player in NCAA Division I soccer… Became the fourth Blue Devil in history to capture the trophy… After anchoring Duke's defence at center back for two years, moved forward to headline Duke's offense in 2011… Led the ACC with 17 goals and 42 points overall and ranked fourth nationally in total points, and sixth in total goals… Was selected as the 2011 ACC Offensive Player of the Year, completing the trifecta of ACC major awards after being named the ACC Rookie of the Year and ACC Defensive Player of the Year in 2009 and 2010, respectively… Also became the second Blue Devil in program history to earn CoSIDA Academic All-America first team honours and spots on both the All-ACC Academic Team and ACC Academic Honour Roll each of his three seasons… Was one of four juniors to be named to the NSCAA Collegiate Scholar All-America first team.
2010: Was a Hermann Trophy semi-finalist and was selected to the NSCAA All-America first team... Was voted the ACC Defensive Player of the Year after being named to the All-ACC first team... Was selected to participate in the Duke/Nike Classic All-Tournament Team... Played all 20 games at center back, including 17 starts, and led team with 1,866 minutes of play, helping anchor a defence to six shutouts... Registered two assists during the season…Was also named to the All-ACC Academic Team and was an ACC Academic Honour Roll selection.
2009: Voted the ACC Freshman of the Year and to the All-ACC first team and ACC All-Freshman team... Started all 21 matches, helping to anchor Blue Devil defence, finishing the year with four goals, including three game winners, and three assists for 11 points... Led the team in minutes played with 1,896… Was a member of the All-ACC Academic Team.
Was selected by the United States Under-23 National Team in January 2012, to participate to the 2012 Olympic qualifying games… Selected to the U-20 U.S. National Team in 2008... Chosen for the U-17 U.S. National Team in 2007.
