PRONUNCIATION: ah-BOO-chi oh-BIN-wah

Obinwa is a young central midfielder who, after spending time overseas, returns to the city of his birth to fight for playing time in the midfield.

INTERNATIONAL: Obinwa was named to the U-18 roster that participated in the 20th Lisbon International Tournament in Portugal in 2014, where he played in all three group-stage matches. He was also a member of the United States Under-20 squad’s 23-player roster that participated in the 2015 Stevan Vilotic-Cele Tournament in Serbia, where he made two appearances.

OUTSIDE MLS: Was a member of the Hannover academy before returning to the US.
