REAL SALT LAKE 1, SEATTLE SOUNDERS FC 0

REAL SALT LAKE HEAD COACH JASON KREIS

On the match:
"Another second half here at Rio Tinto Stadium where we have figured out how to play. I'm going to drive myself crazy figuring out how we can get our team to play in the first half as well. It would be really nice to see our team play 90 minutes."

On Robbie Findley's night:
"I thought Robbie was extremely active all night. In particular, I thought he did a fantastic job on challenging for head balls with their defenders, and he won quite a few of them. Then he obviously had the two chances to score, the first one being the far simpler one. As a coach I wish and I hope that he starts to convert those simple ones, but converting the second one was good enough on the night."

On his midfield trio closing out the match following the goal:
"All three of those guys covered an extraordinary amount of distance. Kyle [Beckerman] and Will [Johnson] obviously covered a terrific amount of distance tonight and got into a lot of tackles. Javier [Morales] in particular paid really close attention to his defending tonight, and in a lot of instances that can be the difference-maker for us. Something that I absolutely love about Javier Morales, he is not only gifted and can be the difference-maker for us with the ball, but he works hard."

REAL SALT LAKE GOALKEEPER NICK RIMANDO

On contributing to Findley's game-winner:
"I had a goal kick and I'm always looking to spring Robbie [Findley] and Fabian [Espindola] through, and this was an opportunity where I looked up and saw [Peter] Vagenas' and [Osvaldo] Alonso's backs. Robbie looked at me and we connected, I hit a ball through the middle and Robbie did the rest. We seem to get caught sleeping sometimes on free kicks and throw-ins, and tonight we caught them."

On the defensive effort in front of him:
"We had a little urgency to us tonight and in the second half we stepped up our defensive game. Our midfielders were fighting and winning balls and pestering them and they didn't have time to look up, and when that happens our defense can step up and close their space."

On holding on to the three points:
"We scored pretty early on, like in the 60th minute, and there was a lot of time left. There's always been questions of can we finish games, and tonight I think everyone stepped up and we finished the game pretty well. We fought and continued to play and didn't drop off, and that discouraged them."

REAL SALT LAKE FORWARD ROBBIE FINDLEY

On his game-winning goal:
"It was a great ball by Nick. I saw him get the ball and look up and I knew he wanted to play quick, so I took off. It was a great ball in front of me and I was able to hold off the defender and put it away."

On capturing sole possession of RSL's career goal-scoring lead:
"It's definitely a good feeling. There's been a lot of good goal scorers that have played here, so I'm pretty happy."

On getting wins down the stretch:
"We know it's coming down to the end and we need to get points. It was big that we were able to battle. Everybody put in the hard work and we were able to get the win and that's what we need to do from here on out."

REAL SALT LAKE MIDFIELDER RACHID EL KHALIFI

On his Real Salt Lake debut:
"It was good. I didn't feel I did a lot with the ball, but it's only the first time. I'm happy I got to play a little bit, but I feel good that we got three points and that's the important thing for me."

SEATTLE SOUNDERS FC HEAD COACH SIGI SCHMID

On the match:
"Not enough effort. Certain guys up front were just turning the ball over, and I don't think we had a very good day holding the ball up front. At the end of the day we should have left 0-0, at the very worst."

On Seattle's first-half effort defensively:
"I thought we did well. We did a good job of keeping the ball in front of us and keeping the play in front of us. There were some chances where we broke in, but our final pass wasn't good enough."

On what happened defensively on RSL's goal:
"I don't know, you've got to ask guys if they were awake. Guys fell asleep, the guys who were supposed to be back weren't back. Guys were in wrong position, guys weren't where they were supposed to be. They got caught napping and they paid the price."

SEATTLE SOUNDERS FC GOALKEEPER KASEY KELLER

On the match:
"You have to work extremely hard and you can't get outworked by the opponent, you have to be extremely disciplined. We got outworked tonight. I thought [RSL] were really aggressive and when those things happen you have to be really good, and we weren't today."

On the defensive effort in front of him:
"I thought we were solid, but it's a team thing. You have to play with 11 guys on the field that have to give 100 percent effort the whole time. You can't pull out of tackles, you can't pull out of headers, it doesn't work, and we need to improve on that."

On the RSL goal:
"I think some people weren't in the positions they were supposed to be in and Nick [Rimando] hit a great ball off the deck. Findley finished it very well, but those things just can't happen. We've got too much experience on this team to let stupid things like that happen."

On returning to normalcy during the upcoming week:
"You can work the way you want to work without looking over your shoulder at another game. I'm not looking forward to Monday and Tuesday because I've got a feeling they're going to be pretty hard, but that's life - you lose a couple games that you shouldn't and then you expect a punishment at training the next day."

SEATTLE SOUNDERS FC MIDFIELDER NATHAN STURGIS

On the match:
"I think the effort was there, but I don't think the execution was there. We were trying hard, but we weren't effective at the end of it."
