Real Salt Lake striker Yura Movsisyan has had enough of sitting on the bench.

The 30-year-old Designated Player endured a very disappointing 2017 with RSL, engaging in multiple public spats with manager Mike Petke before being linked to a move to Europe over the summer. He scored seven goals in 28 league appearances and 16 starts, only one of which came after July 4.

“Being at stage that I am, I’m not going to come back and sit on the bench again,” Movsisyan told reporters on Wednesday. “For sure I can say that that’s not going to happen. So they can decide, and my representatives can decide with them, but it’s definitely not good enough.”

According to The Salt Lake Tribune’s Maddie Lee, Movsisyan didn’t go as far as saying he’d played his last game with RSL. The Armenian has two years left on his guaranteed DP contract.
