Inter Miami add Victor Ulloa to growing roster from FC Cincinnati

Inter Miami have acquired midfielder Victor Ulloa and the first pick of the 2019 MLS Re-Entry Draft (Stage 1) from FC Cincinnati in exchange for $50,000 in General Allocation Money, a 2020 MLS SuperDraft third-round selection and the 26th pick of the 2019 MLS Re-Entry Draft (Stage 1), the clubs announced on Monday. Out of contract following the 2019 season, Ulloa signed a new deal with the expansion side.


“Victor brings valuable experience and league knowledge to our roster,” said Miami sporting director Paul McDonough in a statement. “He is a proven defensive midfielder with quality leadership skills we value at our organization.”  


Ulloa joined FCC in December 2018 ahead of its inaugural season in MLS after eight professional seasons with FC Dallas. making 26 appearances with a goal and two assists fro the 2019 expansion side.


In Dallas, Ulloa's ascension to being a first-tem regular coincided with the arrival of coach Oscar Pareja in 2014.


But the 27-year-old Mexican American was Dallas' first Homegrown Player in franchise history and the eighth in MLS to reach 100 appearances on June 3, 2017. Ulloa also became the seventh Homegrown in MLS to play 10,000 minutes in 2018.
