Inter Miami Closing in on Win Streak
After another come-from-behind victory on the road against CF Montréal, Inter Miami CF are flying high with wins in each of their last five matches. Reaching the six-game win streak has been a rarity in MLS since 2019, and Miami can join elite company by defeating Orlando City SC tonight (7:30 p.m. ET, MLS Season Pass on Apple TV). With a victory, the Herons would become the third team in that timeframe to win six-straight regular season matches in the same season.
To extend their streak, Miami will look to replicate their performance on Matchday 3 when they beat Orlando City SC 5-0 at home, which was the largest margin of victory in the rivalry’s history. However, the club has struggled when driving up I-95 to face the Lions, as they have never defeated the Lions in MLS play in Orlando (0-3-3).

Tani Clutch in Crunch Time
Winners of three consecutive matches, Minnesota United FC (20 points, 6-2-2) has climbed to second place in the Western Conference table and no player has provided more clutch contributions during their early-season run than forward Tani Oluwaseyi. The 23-year-old has scored the game-winning goal in each of the three matches comprising Minnesota’s current three-game winning streak, and a fourth would put the breakout star in rare company.
Only five different players in MLS history have scored a game-winning goal for their club in four consecutive matches, with former Inter Miami CF star Gonzalo HiguaĂn the latest to accomplish the feat in 2022 (Sept. 13 – Oct. 5) en route to Comeback Player of the Year honors. Oluwaseyi will look to join the company of Erick Torres, Edson Buddle, Carlos Ruiz, Clint Dempsey, and Higuain as the Loons take on the LA Galaxy on Wednesday evening (8:30 p.m. ET, MLS Season Pass on Apple TV).

RuidĂaz the Difference on the Road
Another clutch performer in 2024 and throughout his career has been Sounders forward RaĂşl RuidĂaz. RuidĂaz has done his work away from home and Matchday 13 was no different when he produced the game-winning goal against bitter rivals the Portland Timbers.
The goal against Portland was his 14th career game-winning goal on the road, tying Landon Donovan and Ante Razov for the third-most in MLS history. Matchday 14 will provide another opportunity for RuidĂaz to add another game-winning goal on the road when Seattle travels to face Western Conference leaders Real Salt Lake (9:30 p.m. ET, MLS Season Pass on Apple TV). With one more game-winning goal, RuidĂaz would tie Jeff Cunningham (15) for the second-most in league history.
