Colorado Rapids goalkeeper Clint Irwin catches up with NBA MVP, high school teammate Steph Curry | SIDELINE

NBA and Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry dribbles up the court

Here's one for the "small world" file.

The NBA champion Golden State Warriors are visiting Denver on Wednesday night, and had a special guest at their shootaround earlier in the day:

That's right – Irwin and Curry, the reigning NBA MVP and perhaps the best basketball player in the world today, played high school basketball together while attending the Charlotte Christian School.

Irwin graduated in 2007, a year after Curry and a year before Stephen's younger brother, Seth, so it's safe to say he probably saw his fair share of the two future NBAers before they became stars. Safe to say we'll be keeping an eye out for the Altitude piece for more details.
