  • Soccer fans, I have good news: The NHL will still be on strike by this time next year.

  • Jamaican and new MetroStars forward Fabian Taylor is now responsible for the best debut in the history of this league.

  • We are expanding to two more markets next year! Anybody have a clue where yet?

  • Nick Sakiewicz, general manager for the Metros, announced that Harrison, N.J., is building a soccer-specific stadium for the Metros ... for the 10th time. How about a timetable? Sometime before 2018?

  • This is a good thing: Nobody has thrown a towel in the general direction of Amado Guevara yet.
