Western Conference Final update

KANSAS CITY, MO - The Kansas City Wizards will host the 2004 Western Conference Championship at Arrowhead Stadium on Friday, November 5th at 7:30 p.m. CT. The #1 seed Wizards will take on the #2 seed Los Angeles Galaxy with a berth to MLS Cup 2004 on the line.

All tickets to Friday's Western Conference Championship match are just $5 and can be purchased through Ticketmaster by calling 816-931-3330 or online at www.ticketmaster.com. All seats will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Sideline and Club Level tickets will be issued as reserved seating at the time of purchase and all Endline tickets will be general admission.

In addition to Ticketmaster locations, tickets can be purchased through the Arrowhead Box Office, which is located at Gate D1 of the stadium. The Arrowhead box office is open Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and will be open on Friday from 8:30 a.m. through halftime of the game.

"Because of the tremendous interest in our game Friday and the fact that Friday is likely to be a late arriving crowd due to school and work commitments," Wizards General Manger Curt Johnson said, "I want to encourage Wizards fans to purchase their tickets in advance. Delays entering the stadium can be avoided by purchasing tickets through Ticketmaster or the Wizards box office prior to Friday evening. Fans planning on purchasing tickets at the stadium the night of the game, or picking up tickets at Will Call should also arrive early."

The Wizards advanced to the Western Conference final for the second consecutive season after a dramatic 3-0 win over the defending MLS Cup Champion San Jose Earthquakes last weekend. Needing to overcome a 2-0 deficit after their first-leg loss in San Jose on October 24th, the Wizards scored two second half goals including a Jack Jewsbury strike in stoppage time to advance to the Conference Final and record one of Major League Soccer's most dramatic comebacks in playoff history. The winner of Friday's contest will advance to the 2004 MLS Cup Final at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA on Sunday, November 14th.
