Wizards Continue Road Swing at San Jose on Saturday, April 23rd

The Kansas City Wizards will continue their two-game, cross-country road
swing this weekend in San Jose when they take on the San Jose Earthquakes on
Saturday, April 23rd. The match will kickoff at 9:00 p.m. CT from Spartan
    Stadium in San Jose.

The Wizards currently sit in a four-way tie for second in the East with a
1-0-1 record (4 points) following their 2-2 tie against the MetroStars at
Giants Stadium this past weekend. The Earthquakes sit in fourth in the West
with a 0-1-2 record (2 points) and are still looking for their first win of
    the young season.

Midfielders Jack Jewsbury and Chris Klein enter this weekend's match on a
hot streak with both players having scored a goal in each of the Wizards
first two games of the season. Jewsbury's strike in the 20th minute matched
his career high of 2 goals set during the 2004 season. Klein's goal was the
second straight after returning from ACL surgery that forced him to miss the
final three months of the 2004 season and saw his return to action in the
    2005 season opener.

San Jose will be looking for their first win of the season following
back-to-back ties at home to open the season and last weekend's
disappointing loss on a stoppage time goal in Chicago. All three results
have come following late-game meltdowns by the Earthquakes.
In the season opener, SJ led 2-0 before allowing two New England goals in
the second half. A week later, the 'Quakes led Chivas USA 3-2 late in the
game before surrendering the tying goal in the 90th minute. Last week's loss
against the Chicago Fire came when the Fire scored one minute into stoppage
