Quakes keep busy off the field

Despite their crazy road trip schedule, the San Jose Earthquakes have kept themselves busy off the field as well as on. Many players have recently appeared at local events to support youth soccer around the Bay Area.

On Saturday, May 21, defender James Twellman visited the Almaden Valley Youth Soccer League. The Quakes rookie signed autographs at Pioneer High School for the youth soccer players in conjunction with the Student of the Game package, which educates participating Bay Area youth soccer programs through coaching clinics and Earthquakes player appearances.

Robbie Fulton met with the Scotts Valley Youth Soccer League on Sunday, May 22. The Quakes goalkeeper mingled with the kids and signed autographs during the league's ice cream social at Sky Park.

Quakes defender Brett Rodriguez, a native of Saratoga, also attended a local event on Wednesday, May 26. Rodriguez appeared at Stocklmeir Elementary School in Sunnyvale to sign autographs during registration for Sunnyvale AYSO.
