New Web site for Frisco launches

Hunt Sports Group and the Dallas Burn announced today that they have partnered with Birdsall Interactive to create a comprehensive Web site for the Frisco Soccer & Entertainment Center (FS&EC). The site will go live on Friday, August 6, and will be accessible through a link on www.dallasburn.com.

"This micro site within dallasburn.com gives the public a chance to interact with the Frisco Soccer & Entertainment Center prior to its opening in April of 2005," said Greg Elliott, president & general manager of the Dallas Burn. "It is the destination location for the latest news, information and images pertaining to the most unique soccer and entertainment facility in the world."

Among the site's featured sections are:

  • Construction updates - includes continually updated photos of the construction site, architectural renderings of the facility as well as a video detailing the background of the facility.

  • Press Room - includes all press releases pertaining to both the stadium and the facility as well as a facility press kit available for download.
  • Sponsors - information on all of the corporate sponsors that have signed on for the FS&EC.
  • Frequently Asked Questions - includes comprehensive answers to many construction questions as well as specific information regarding the stadium.
  • Ticket information - a complete breakdown of all ticket categories and prices for the new stadium including a diagram of all seating areas.

"We want soccer fans throughout North Texas, as well as the country, to be able to watch soccer's premier destination come to life," said Burn Vice-President Jeff Busch. "The site will be continually updated and enhanced as new partners and events are added, and as news happens."

The Major League Soccer team currently known as the Dallas Burn, who will be changing their name and identity next season, will play their home schedule at the FS&EC beginning in the spring of 2005. This 117-acre facility will feature a 20,000 seat soccer stadium, accommodating Major League Soccer matches, major concerts, international soccer matches and Frisco high school football. Adjacent to the stadium will be 17 regulation-size, tournament-grade soccer fields which will be utilized on a year-round basis, making the Center the focal point of youth and adult soccer in North Texas and around the country. An estimated 1.4 million spectators and participants are expected to visit the facility annually.
