The Metros continue their home stand on June 5th when they host the Dallas Burn at 7:30 p.m. ET. Tickets are available for all MetroStars home games at the Continental Airlines Arena box office and at all Ticketmaster outlets. Metros Tied for First: The Metros return home this week after tying Eastern Conference rival the New England Revolution 1-1 at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, MA last Saturday. Cornell Glen tallied his third goal of the season with an assist from Mark Lisi in the 55th minute. With their tie on Saturday, the "Red and Black" (2-1-4, 10 points) are now tied for first place in the Eastern Conference with rival Chicago Fire (2-2-4, 10 points).

Lisi and Gaven Makin' Connections: Mark Lisi and Eddie Gaven are both tied for the top spot amongst MLS Assist Leaders. The duo currently sits at the top in a five-way tie with Chris Albright (LA Galaxy), Landon Donovan (San Jose Earthquakes) and Andreas Herzog (LA Galaxy). All have four assists thus far in the young 2004 season.

Comeback Kids: The MetroStars have come back five times this season after being down one goal to either win or tie a game. The Metros defeated the Columbus Crew (3-1, April 3rd, 2004) and D.C. United (3-2, April 17th, 2004) and came back to tie the San Jose Earthquakes (5-5, May 8th, 2004) and the New England Revolution twice (1-1, April 25th, 1-1, May 22nd, 2004) ensuring at least a point for their squad in each match.

Glen Gets the Call: MetroStars forward Cornell Glen has been called-up to the Trinidad and Tobago National Team by Manager Stuart Charles Fevrier for the nation's upcoming friendly match with Scotland on May 30, 2004, at Easter Road Stadium in Edinburgh, Scotland at 9:00 a.m. ET. The 22-year-old Glen has earned 12 caps, scoring one goal for the "Soca Warriors," since making his first appearance with the full team on November 15, 2002, in a 2-0 win over St. Kitts and Nevis in a 2003 Gold Cup Qualifier.

Bradley with the U-18's: Metros Midfielder Michael Bradley has been called into the U.S. Men's U-18 squad by Head Coach Bob Jenkins for a mini-tour in Argentina. The squad will face Argentina's U-18 team on May 26th, Boca Juniors on May 28th and close out with a match against River Plate on May 31st. Bradley is the only professional player on the squad and will return to the Metros on May 31st.

Teamates Squaring Off: MetroStars goalkeeper Jonny Walker and midfielder Amado Guevara will square off at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA on Wednesday when the United States National Team will meet the Honduran National Team in a friendly.

Walker most recently appeared for the National Team on April 28, when they shutout the Mexican National Team in Dallas, TX. Walker has garnered his first three international caps with the U.S. National Team since the completion of the 2003 MLS season. His first cap came in January against Denmark, and his second came on March 13 against Haiti at the Orange Bowl in Miami.

MetroStars midfielder Amado Guevara is the all-time appearance leader for Honduras with 80 caps, adding 15 goals for Bora Milutinovic's squad. "El Lobo" most recently played for Honduras against Ecuador on April 28th at the Orange Bowl in a 1-1 tie. Guevara made his debut for the nation on May 5, 1994, in a 2-1 win over Peru in Miami, FL.

Kickoff for the June 2 friendly is set for 7:30 p.m. ET, and the match will be broadcast on Telemundo via tape delay (11:30 p.m. ET/PT). The U.S. game will also be available live in high definition format on HDNet. Fans can also follow the match live on ussoccer.com's MatchTracker, presented by Philips Electronics. The friendly will serve as the USA's final warm-up before 2006 World Cup qualifying kicks off June 13 against Grenada in Columbus.

Boavista: The MetroStars defeated Boavista F.C. of the Portuguese Super League by a score of 3-1 Wednesday night at Williams Field in Elizabeth, NJ. Bob Bradley's squad had a new look with several players making their debut in a "Red and Black" uniform. John Wolyniec, serving as the team's captain, had two goals and an assist in the MetroStars first International Friendly victory in 2004.

In 2000-2001, Boavista won the Portuguese Super League title, and in doing so, became just the fifth team in the history of the league to claim the championship. Outside of league play, last year Boavista advanced to the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup, where they lost to Glasgow Celtic 2-1 on aggregate.

High-Octane Offense: The MetroStars offense is one of the most potent in the league, as the MetroStars are averaging a Major League Soccer - high (tied with L.A.) 2.00 goals per game with 14 goals scored in seven games.

Metros to Make Memorial Day Visits: Many of the MetroStars players will be very active this weekend visiting a multitude of soccer tournaments being held in honor of Memorial Day.
