Fire announce partnership with Centrum Sport

The Chicago Fire has announced that the club has renewed its promotional partnership with Centrum Sport, marking the seventh year that the two entities have teamed up in the Fire's eight-year existence. The partnership further demonstrates the Fire's dedication to Chicagoland's Polish community.

"We're thrilled to be partnering with Centrum Sport once again," said Chicago Fire President & CEO John Guppy. "This unique partnership has grown throughout the years and we are very proud of the relationships we have built with the great Polish community of Chicago through our association with Centrum. We look forward to working with Ziggy Sekula and his staff this season and as we enter a new era next season with our new stadium in Bridgeview."

As part of the agreement, the Chicago Fire will work with Centrum to promote Fire home games and other community events during the 2005 season. Centrum Sport will make significant contributions to the promotion of Fire events and international matches, including the doubleheader on Wednesday, Apr. 27 at Soldier Field, featuring the Fire against the New England Revolution and the national teams of Mexico versus Poland beginning at 6:00 p.m. CT.

"We are very happy to renew our partnership with the Chicago Fire for the 2005 season. Centrum Sport has been serving the soccer community in Chicago for 11 years, and we are very proud of our longstanding partnership with the Fire," said Centrum Sport President Ziggy Sekula. "The Fire has developed a winning tradition that the Polish community and the soccer community at large is very proud of. With the addition of some great new players, we look forward to working with the Fire during another push for a championship and an exciting move to the beautiful new stadium in Bridgeview."
