The Columbus Crew Foundation, the club's charitable arm, will hold a private screening of the soon-to-be-released motion picture 'The Game of Their Lives' (rated PG) before it opens to the general public. The event will take place on Thursday at 7 p.m. ET at the Arena Grand Theatre.

A donation of $10 per ticket is requested for admission, with all proceeds benefiting The Columbus Crew Foundation. In addition to the advance screening, each attendee will receive an official 27" x 40" THE GAME OF THEIR LIVES movie poster and be entered in a drawing to win a ball autographed by the Crew's 2004 Supporters' Shield-winning team.

If you are interested in attending this special screening, tickets are available for purchase in advance (by e-mailing Shayla Collins at SCollins@TheCrew.com with the subject line reading "TGOTL" and providing your name, address, daytime telephone number) or at the event on a first-come, first-served basis (subject to availability). The Arena Grand Theatre is located in Downtown Columbus' Arena District at 175 W. Nationwide Blvd. Columbus, Ohio 43215.

Based on a true story and produced by IFC Films/Bristol Bay Productions, 'The Game of Their Lives' follows the U.S. World Cup team which passionately proved that even an underdog has what it takes to be a winner. The story is based on the 1950 U.S. soccer team which, against all odds, beat world power England 1-0 in one of the biggest upsets in soccer history. Set in the small town of Belo Horizonte, Brazil, it is a story about family traditions and passions that shaped the lives of the players who made up that team.

Directed by David Anspaugh with screenplay by Angelo Pizzo (the filmmakers responsible for the acclaimed sports dramas 'Hoosiers' and 'Rudy'), 'The Game of Their Lives' features a talented ensemble cast including Gerard Butler ('The Phantom Of The Opera,' 'Tomb Raider'), Wes Bentley ('American Beauty,' 'The Four Feathers'), Gavin Rossdale (lead singer of Bush, 'Constantine'), Zachery Bryan ('Home Improvement'), Jimmy Jean-Louis ('The Bourne Identity') John Rhys-Davies ('Lord of The Rings,' 'The Princess Diaries'), and Patrick Stewart ('X-Men,' 'Star Trek: The Next Generation') .
