Chicago Fire around town

CHICAGO - Chicago Fire players are out and about this weekend to meet fans, cruise Lake Michigan and teach soccer skills. Several members of the Fire are scheduled to make appearances in the "Windy City" this weekend during a break in its MLS schedule.

The FireWorks for Kids Foundation will be hosting the 2004 edition of its annual "Cruise With the Fire" event this Saturday. The event, which benefits the Chicago Fire's charitable organization, includes dinner, a silent auction, autographs and pictures, a live DJ and a fantastic view of the Chicago Skyline from Lake Michigan. Fire midfielder and Jamaican national team standout Andy Williams will be greeting fans and signing autographs at the Kicks For Cancer Tournament at the Montrose Harbor Soccer Fields on Saturday. Teams can still sign-up for the tournament by visiting www.KicksForCancer.com.

This Sunday, Fire goalkeeper Henry Ring and midfielder Scott Buete will be teaching soccer skills and greeting fans at the Saint Joseph Hospital and Chicago Fire Soccer Skills Clinic at the New City YMCA in Chicago.
