San Jose Earthquakes goalkeeper David Bingham may need a change of wardrobe.

After Bingham spent much of the season on loan with the NASL's San Antonio Scorpions, Norwegian second-division club Strømmen announced on their website that Bingham will join the team on loan for the remainder of the season.

The Earthquakes confirmed the move on Wednesday morning, and Bingham confirmed it from his Twitter account.

With just four career MLS starts to his name, the former Cal goalkeeper made 10 starts for San Antonio this year, posting shutouts in his final two appearances in late July. He played in both of the Earthquakes' Open Cup games, including a standout nine-save performance in a shootout loss against the Seattle Sounders.

Earthquakes starter Jon Busch, however, ranks fourth in MLS in save percentage, and San Antonio have brought in New York City FC goalkeeper Josh Saunders on loan, so Bingham's search for minutes will continue in much cooler climes.

Strømmen are currently 10th in the 16-team First Division and rank 11th in goals against.
