MLS Fantasy Advice: What's stopping Pedro Morales from being most-captained player this week?

TRANSFER DEADLINE: Wednesday, 10 pm ET

As is the case in previous rounds, one player in particular is overwhelmingly dominating the transfer market. This week it's Vancouver Whitecaps central midfielder Pedro Morales.

What this means for MLS Fantasy managers is that Morales will likely be the most-captained player in Round 16. But, should he be?

This week fantasy owners are preparing for the future so you won't see the most popular captain choices among the top transferred IN players.

There were several players in fantastic form going into the World Cup break who will return with similar results this weekend. Morales was one of them, but so was teammate Erik Hurtado, Cristian Maidana, Jermain Defoe and Jack McInerney among others.

Player Position Selected Price Total Transfers IN
Vancouver Whitecaps Pedro Morales MID 19.4% $8.8 84 3,109
Colorado Rapids Drew Moor DEF 29.4% $7.9 84 1,980
New York Red Bulls Bradley Wright-Phillips FWD 17.8% $8.0 82 1,887
Vancouver Whitecaps Erik Hurtado MID 11.3% $6.3 45 1,788
Chicago Fire Harrison Shipp FWD 19.6% $6.6 81 1,599

So, is it that cut and dry? Is Morales the best possible pick this week?

He's averaging a goal or an assist every 83 minutes so with two games this week one should expect good results if they go that route.
