American Exports: US international Edgar Castillo completes transfer from Tijuana to Atlas

Castillo had already said his farewells to Xolos, where he resurrected his career.
The Las Cruces, N.M., native burst onto the scene with Santos Laguna, winning the Clausura 2008, but experienced inconsistent spells after that at Club América, Tigres UANL, San Luis and Puebla.
Castillo won the Apertura 2012 and was a regular at left back since joining the club at the end of 2011, particularly impressing in the club’s 2013 Copa Libertadores run.
The move should leave the door open for Texan Greg Garza to claim the starting left back spot with Tijuana.
