American Exports: World Cup candidate DaMarcus Beasley put up for sale by Puebla
A total of 16 players were made available for transfer by Puebla and there has been one report that Beasley is hankering for a move back to MLS, although the player has not yet publicly discussed his future.
Beasley was close to moving to fellow top-flight side Querétaro in the last transfer window, and the Gallos Blancos had even announced the transfer.
If Beasley is set to leave, it would spell the end of a reasonably successful period of his career.
When he moved to Mexico, the former Chicago Fire winger was on the outside of the US squad following a difficult spell at Hannover 96 in Germany, but regular playing time with Puebla has seen him surpass 100 international caps and make the 30-man preliminary roster with a shot at earning a trip to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
On the other hand, Puebla have failed to reach the playoffs in each of the six seasons (over three years) that Beasley has featured.
