Still unbeaten, but that win in Houston was weird. There was a good, solid chunk of time during which the 10-man Dynamo were taking it to RSL.

Figuring out how to win on the road while getting both younger and better. Things are looking good in Vancouver.

Bad midfield spacing has been the culprit every time New York have laid an egg this year. They have to figure out how to plug up those holes.

All the pieces are there, but the finishing has been straight up bad. A good shift from Kofi Opare should soothe worries about how the defense will do with Omar away.

We have been slow to bump them up the standings, but at this point they've earned it. The veteran central defense of Jeff Parke and Bobby Boswell deserves a ton of credit, while d-mid Perry Kitchen has quietly made "The Leap."

If it wasn't for Clint Irwin's blinder in San Jose, this would have been a catastrophic week for the Rapids. Instead, it was merely bad.

The midweek win was just barely enough. The loss to RSL was, obviously, brutal. But a couple of promising lineup tweaks and the emergence of rookie bruiser Mark Sherrod are silver linings.
