With USL PRO beginning its 2014 regular season last weekend, and NASL set to begin its 2014 Spring season next month, the list of MLS players sent to lower-league teams this year has grown in recent weeks.

Eleven MLS clubs have loaned players to USL PRO teams as part of previously announced team partnerships for the 2014 season, in line with the MLS-USL partnership started in 2013. One team, the LA Galaxy, have established their own USL PRO team this year, LA Galaxy II, also as part of the MLS-USL partnership. And three MLS teams have loaned players to NASL teams so far this year.

At present, 51 players have been loaned to USL or NASL teams, five of which were temporary (lasting about a week). The terms of each loan varies, however, so players who are on loan for the USL PRO or NASL season may be recalled before the season is over.
