Jersey Week 2014: Columbus Crew will be showcasing a new home jersey in 2014
This isn't your dad's Columbus Crew.
The new era began with a new owner, Anthony Precourt, who took over last year and continues in 2014 with a new head coach, Gregg Berhalter, and a new home jersey.
The all-yellow primary kit has been modified this year with the most noticeable difference being the diamond pattern faded into the front of the jersey.
Among the other tweaks are the absence of the collar present in 2013, the black bars across each sleeve and the initials of former owner Lamar Hunt "LH" on the back of the jersey. The team’s nickname is also featured on the inside neck tape: “America’s Hardest Working Team."
Every MLS team is unveiling new jerseys as part of 2014 Jersey Week, which is being held from March 3-7 in the lead-up to the start of the new season on Saturday, March 8.
