Rumor Central: Chivas USA looking at Spanish M Dani Fragoso, Argentine F Leandro Barrera?

Chivas USA have been one of the offseason's big movers and shakers, but they might not be done quite yet, according to two reports that emerged Wednesday.

Spanish site CadizDirecto.com reported that Spanish holding midfielder Daniel Fragoso, who formerly played in Cádiz, was joining Chivas. The 31-year-old went through the Espanyol and Real Madrid youth systems before starting his career with Espanyol's B team, and also played for a time with the Barcelona B team. He's spent his entire career in the second and third divisions in Spain, playing most recently for L'Hospitalet in Spain's third division.

The second player linked to the Goats on Wednesday was 22-year-old Argentine forward Leandro Barrera (pictured, left). According to Argentine website and radio show Pasión Paternal, the Argentinos Juniors player is reported to be coming to the Rojiblancos on loan, following the footsteps of former teammate and current Toronto FC midfielder Matías Laba in moving to MLS. The youngster has scored three goals in 42 league appearances for Argentinos since making his debut in 2010.

When contacted for comment on the report, a team spokesperson for the team told MLSsoccer.com, "Chivas USA will not comment on any player who is not an official member of the club’s roster."

Chivas have also been linked to Argentine holding midfielder Agustín Pelletieri this preseason, as well as English striker Luke Moore, though the team has not commented publicly about either player.
