GUADALAJARA, Mexico – After almost three years and little playing time, Jonathan Bornstein could finally be on his way out at Tigres.

Various reports have surfaced in recent days stating that the former US international (above, left) has been sidelined from preseason training along with Hugo Rodríguez, Alonso Zamora and Manuel Viniegra, with all four set to leave the club, although there has been no official transfer list from Tigres.

Then, a story on MedioTiempo.com on Monday suggested that Bornstein didn’t train at all, leading to speculation that a move could be imminent.

MLSsoccer.com reported earlier this month that Bornstein still has a running contract at the club and there hadn’t been any change of status, but the player has featured in only three first team games for Tigres in 2013.

If the 29-year-old left back does leave to another club within Mexico, the deal would have to be done by the end of Wednesday’s Liga MX transfer deadline.
