GUADALAJARA, Mexico – DaMarcus Beasley’s name has been linked with a move away from Puebla with increasingly ferocity in recent weeks, but the 31-year-old has denied that any transfer is already done.

“Look...I’m not a Querétaro player,” Beasley tweeted in Spanish on Thursday. “I’ve not signed anything and I still have a contract with Puebla. The end!”

Various reports had suggested Beasley – one of Puebla’s five foreign players – could be headed to Querétaro, Monterrey or Pumas UNAM, with La Franja’s president Jesús López Chargoy appearing to back up those claims via his Twitter account last month, although the former Chicago Fire player didn’t appear on the club’s transfer list.

Beasley arrived at Puebla in the summer of 2011 and his spell at the club has seen him both return to the national team squad and become the USA's regular starting left back under Jurgen Klinsmann.
