2013 Latino del Año: Final four revealed – who gets your vote as the ultimate winner?

NEW YORK – And the time has come. 

Fans have voted and the quest to crown the best Latin American player in FutbolMLS.com's 2013 Latino del Año has come to its final week. Out the voting that started with 32 ranked players, fans have chosen four as their favorites after the 2013 Major League Soccer season.

Raúl Fernández (FC Dallas), Oscar Boniek García (Houston Dynamo), Jaime Penedo (LA Galaxy) and Álvaro Saborío (Real Salt Lake) have qualified for the final, which will be held in a round-robin format in which all four nominees are elegible to win.

The player who receives the highest amount of votes will be named the 2013 FutbolMLS.com Latino del Año. 

Fernández, Penedo and Saborío dominated their quarterfinal matchups and came out on top with more than 70 percent of votes, leaving behind important players such as Blas Pérez (FC Dallas), Hendry Thomas (Colorado Rapids) and Diego Valeri (Portland Timbers). In the other quarterfinal pairing, García had a tough battle against the 2013 Golden Boot winner, Camilo Sanvezzo (Vancouver Whitecaps), and the Honduran midfielder only obtained 10 percent more votes than his Brazilian opponent.

Voting for the 2013 FutbolMLS.com Latino del Año final is open now through Sunday, November 17, at 11:59 pm ET.

The 2013 FutbolMLS.com Latino del Año will be announced Monday, November 18.
