MLS Fantasy: How to use the caparoo trick to your advantage in the Conference Semis
NOTE: Transfer deadline for the Conference Semifinals first legs is Saturday at 7:45 pm ET!
Several fantasy managers incorporated the caparoo trick into their lineup for MLS Playoffs' Knockout Round and had great results with it. So, I'm back again to explain the caparoo I'm using for the Conference Semifinals' leg 1 matches.
The image above is a screenshot of my entire team for this round. You'll notice that Futty Danso is in my No. 1 sub postion and Thierry Henry is in my No. 2 sub position. Here's why...
In order to perform the caparoo you must have players from teams who will play on Nov. 2 and Nov. 3. Since Rodney Wallace and the Portland Timbers play Saturday night I have to put Futty Danso in my first sub position to maximize my options.
|Nov 2 8:00PM ET||New England Revolution||v||Sporting KC|
|Nov 2 10:00PM ET||Seattle Sounders FC||v||Portland Timbers|
|Nov 3 3:30PM ET||Houston Dynamo||v||New York Red Bulls|
|Nov 3 9:00PM ET||Los Angeles Galaxy||v||Real Salt Lake|
If the Timbers earn a clean sheet Saturday night I will leave my lineup the way it is and Futty Danso will automatically be subbed in for Brown because he's in sub position No. 1. But, if Portland concede the clean sheet and Futty Danso doesn't score I will manually sub Thierry Henry in and nominate a player from Sunday as my captain.
Make sense? Good. Enjoy the Conference Semis!
