GUADALAJARA, Mexico – DaMarcus Beasley’s hamstring injury that kept him out of Puebla’s 0-0 tie against Tigres UANL on Saturday will not have repercussions for the US national team, with the final World Cup qualifiers against Jamaica and Panama coming up next month.

The club’s press department informed MLSsoccer.com on Monday that Beasley is still receiving treatment for the injury but that “he will be ready to play next Sunday [against Club Tijuana].”

The news will come as welcome relief to the 31-year-old, who has started six of the US national team’s eight World Cup qualifiers in 2013 and has been a regular for Puebla coach Rubén Omar Romano.

La Franja face Tijuana at Estadio Cuauhtémoc on Sunday in a vital game with only one point between the two sides – both of which are currently outside the playoff positions – and only six rounds of matches to go in the Liga MX’s Apertura 2013 season.
