There was a huge increase in overall scoring this week in MLS Fantasy Soccer: Manager, but the average remained the same: 56 points. The high score in Round 27 was 143 points.
Twenty-two players tallied 10 points or more, but only six of the 11 players in this week's Dream Team featured in multiple games this week. Panamanian national team striker Blas Perez led the way with 18.

Nearly 15 percent of owners invested in Rodney Wallace, but it was Real Salt Lake's Nat Borchers' (owned by 4.2 percent) who finished No.1 among defenders this week. Wallace finished with a respectable 11-point performance, but didn't quite make the cut this time.
Montreal's Jeb Brovsky and Chicago's Hunter Jumper each had monster games, notching a goal and a clean sheet in impressive wins at home.
It was a great week to go heavy in the middle as 13 midfielders reached or surpassed the double-digit barrier. There were some exceptional performers, but none that were as good as Diego Valeri. His 16-point effort was best among midfielders and tied for second best overall.
If you went with Jason Saghini's advice and captained RSL playmaker, Javier Morales, you earned some nice points. While Morales wasn't the top scorer overall, or even the top scorer among midfielders, he did end the round with a nice chunk of points -- 13 to be exact. Teammate Kyle Beckerman and Montreal Impact midfielder Felipe Martins tallied 13-point performances as well.
New England's Kelyn Rowe made the DT for the second time this season, following a 5-1 thrashing over the Philadelphia Union at home. His first appearance also came in a five-goal performance at home back on June 2 against the LA Galaxy. Have you seen his upper 90 blast from 30-yards out? Do so now!
Four forwards hit double-digits in Round 27, but only two made the cut. Marco Di Vaio had another big week, slamming home two goals en route to a 12-point performance. Unfortunately, it just wasn't enough to get him a spot on the DT this week. But hey, he did get nominated for the AT&T Goal of the Week.
Thierry Henry was left off. However, because to a recent scoring correction, he will be added shortly. His 10-point performance didn't include his assist to teammate Dax McCarty on New York's second goal, so once that change goes through, Henry will be subsituted in place of Kelyn Rowe.
If you went with Andrew Wiebe's advice and Captained Perez, Round 27 probably turned out pretty well for you. If by some chance you also took his advice on picking up Chivas USA's Erik Torres, things probably turned out extremely well for you. Will he be able to keep this up the rest of the season? Only time will tell.
Goalkeeper – Jaime Penedo (10 points)
Even with four 'keepers playing multiple games this week, none could match or surpass the 10-point effort by Jaime Penedo of the LA Galaxy. Even more impressive was his point-blank save on Vanouver's Jordan Harvey to help earn a crucial victory away from home.
Point UpdatesFantasy Round 28):
- Thierry Henry - 13 points
- Diego Fagundez - 12 points
- Juan Agudelo - 11 points
- Amobi Okugo - 2 points
Congratulations to Keith Henderson (Leal FC) who finished Round 27 with 143 points. Henderson had five players from this week’s DT in his Starting XI: Blas Perez, Diego Valeri, Nat Borchers, Erik Torres and Javier Morales. His Captain was Diego Valeri.
*Dream Team subject to change. All point totals are finalized Wednesday for Rounds ending on Sunday
